Simply put, your solar savings are calculated as: Self-consumption + Feed-in Credits = Total savings
Self-consumption is when you use your solar instead of paying your energy provider for the electricity you use.
The 10-year and 25-year savings assumes an annual energy price increase (from your energy provider) of 7.5%. This is a conservative figure, considering the average annual increase has been over 13% since 2001.
Please note: This calculator does not consider additional savings that could be had by adding a battery to your system.
